February can feel like a blank space or a loner on the calendar. There is a greeting card holiday right in the middle, but it kind of sits there between the craziness of the fall and winter holidays and the excitement of spring celebration.
It sits in the slush of what is left of the joy of winter and begs to be separate from the impending showers of spring. To further drive home it’s possible feeling of insignificance it even has fewer days than the other 11, seemingly more important, months of the year.
Let’s expand on that.
When the glow and energy of summer fade into the crisp anticipation of fall we have a tangible time-frame to grasp. When November flows into December and December into a New Year with January, we breathe a sigh of relief.
The February feeling can happen with our health journey as much as it can our lives if we allow it. We can be moving right along and then hit this doldrum that seems to grab at us and beg that we sit a while and possibly even get a bit too comfortable with slowly loosening our grip on commitments.
Don’t give any slack during what could feel like a slack month. Don’t let down your guard to laze about in the swirl of 28 days.
Move along, feel the energy of January pushing you into a month that holds whatever possibilities you say.
Make February a month of readiness, preparing, planning, rewarding and playing. Set goals, take action and move into the months of spring with a heartened bound.
Look around you and lift others up and even enroll them in your journey. See the members of your village that may have set goals in January and are slipping into complacence. Then, grab them with your glimmering energy and lift them up to commitments of health and renewed life.
February can be the new best month. With fewer days it’s sleek and ready to set trends.
Grab on to whatever makes it possible for you to shake any dreariness and move for what’s amazing and active and you.
